Team Interview

1. Well hello there, who are you and what do you do on the team?

I’m Lucas— a long time business owner from the education sector turned game developer, in pursuit of the dream of working with that which I love. I started in Genfanad in the Maps Design team, but eventually assumed a second role, as the producer.

2. Nice! What's it like being Genfanad's producer?

It's like being a community manager of a group of highly motivated and talented people! Most of the time I'm just making sure that everyone is well informed about the production details.

Other times I help build bridges between departments so that better collaboration happens.

3. Hmm, what do you like working on the most?

I am still a game developer at heart, so working on the actual game is to me the best part of the job. I enjoy the creative side of the job very, very much. Brainstorming sessions to me are some of the most fun things we can do. I love the feeling of planning a design and then seeing it come to fruition. I also enjoy the technical aspect of things, like scripting.

4. Now that the game's release is getting close, what have you been busy with?

Planning, planning, and planning! We have many, many updates scheduled to be released. Making sure that the updates are being put together in a timely manner is my current most important responsibility.

5. Anything else you'd like to say to the players?

Genfanad is more than a live game. It's ALIVE!

The player's input and participation in the entire process has been crucial in the shaping of the project. Genfanad is as much a reflection of everyone's input as it is of our designers. So keep on giving us your insights and feedback. We feed off that energy and the game is all the better for it.

We're not ready for you to play yet, but we'd love to tell you when we are!
