Hey mom, we were on OTK!
A few days ago we were featured on the first ever OTK Games Expo hosted by Asmongold— that’s a lotta eyes on our little game! As Asmongold so astutely said: “What I liked about Genfanad, is that there was never any… they just said, give us money.”
How right you are, Asmongold! How else is CLicHe supposed to keep the lights on? And right now we’re only a few more pledges away from funding the animated spells stretch goal. Come on heroes, we’re so close to those cool effects!
Also, don’t forget to wishlist us on Steam and get ready to see players trying out the Steam client demo!
In all seriousness though, it was incredible being part of this event and we couldn’t have done it without all of your guy’s support. Thank you all again from the bottom of our hearts for helping Genfanad make it this far!
You don’t even wanna know how giddy the team was when we saw our trailer playing on that big OTK screen.
Meet a monster!
Welcome to a new segment we’ll be doing in these updates, called Meet a Monster! Here, we’ll be showcasing a new monster we’ve worked on, and show you a bit of the behind-the-scenes during the creation process!
This is some concept art of Leaf Boy! Isn't he the cutest? We knew we wanted some more variety around low-level monsters, so we had our artist draw up a bunch of plant-related concepts. This guy is just so happy, you can't bring yourself to kill them!
We also have some mischievous higher-level varieties and some fall-related varieties!
Wanna see more monster designs and concept art? Well, check out the next update! We can’t wait to show off more cutesy enemies and murderous monsters.
A tour of Nüblandia
This is another section we’d like to add to our daily updates! We’ll be touring through the various areas Nüblandia has to offer, while exploring the mindset and ideas the team had while we were creating these lovely places!
Welcome to our first stop, the River Island! If you've been playing the alpha, you may have seen an island in the middle of the river with a ladder going down! This has been in the game since the very first map mockup we created, and we loved the idea of having something players can see but couldn't figure out how to reach for a long time!
Stay tuned for the next update, where we’ll be delving into more interesting areas!
Need a laugh?

If you’re looking for another retro-inspired game that’ll make you laugh, this is the game for you!
A Twisted Tale is a humorous point & click adventure inspired by all the masterpieces that kept us glued to the PC back in the day (and why we played far too little outside). Full of quirky characters, unexpected twists and challenging puzzles.
Their solo dev has a Kickstarter currently ongoing, so head over there and show them some love!
Thank you all so much, till next time!
